About TX400

Who’s Behind the White Coat

We are TX400 — a grassroots, bipartisan coalition of Texas physicians who believe something pretty simple: if you’re practicing medicine, you should actually be trained in medicine.

Our members include practicing and retired physicians, residents, and medical students across every specialty — from primary care to complex surgical fields. What unites us is a shared commitment to patient safety and the integrity of medical practice.

We value nurse practitioners, CRNAs, and physician assistants as essential partners on the care team. But we also believe Texans deserve to know who is a fully trained physician (MD/DO/MBBS) and who isn’t. Titles can get confusing — lots of people call themselves “doctor” — but only physicians complete medical school and postgraduate residency training.

Transparency isn’t optional. It’s the foundation of patient trust.

Board of Directors

TX400 is guided by a volunteer board of physicians who bring decades of clinical experience, leadership, and community service to our mission. Representing a wide range of specialties and backgrounds, our board ensures that the organization stays true to its core values: patient safety, medical transparency, and the belief that medicine should be practiced by fully trained physicians.
